Dr. Maureen Durkin is an epidemiologist, and Professor and Chair of the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. Maureen’s research focuses on public health surveillance, maternal and child health, and epidemiologic studies of autism and other developmental disabilities. She is principal investigator of the Wisconsin site of the CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network, the Study to Explore Early Development, and the Health Disparities Research Scholars postdoctoral training program. She serves as a faculty member in the Preventive Medicine Residency Program and a resource for residents interested in public health surveillance. She is also a member of the Program Evaluation Committee.
